What is a GoBoat?
Unlike streamlined kayaks, canoes and paddleboards which are notoriously tippy, GoBoat, because it is round, is extremely stable, virtually untippable and can take waves from any direction. Plus, with GoBoat, you get far more usable surface area meaning you can literally go anywhere on the boat without risk of capsizing. It is equipped with a 35-pound thrust, 5-speed electric motor, max speed 5 mph. Powered by a 12V Lithium Marine Battery.
How our Rental Progam Works
We specialize in electric GoBoat® and stand-up paddleboards rentals , designed for calm cruising, family time, and low-impact fun. Our boats are easy to operate, quiet, and well-suited for the pace of Island Lake.
Island Lake Electric & Paddle is intentionally small. We operate by online reservation only, and focus on fun, easy outings that work well for families and first-time boaters.
We include a USCG approved life vest, and have a small selection of additional vests. We highly recommend that you provide you own personal PFD, especially for children. This will ensure the best comfort, fit and safety for your time on the water.
All reservations for rental boats must be paid in full at the time of reservation.

About your Rental Experience
GoBoats are fully assembled for your convenience and safety.
What to Expect
When you arrive at your reserved time the GoBoat or SUP will be fully inflated and assembled. Our friendly staff will provide a brief orientation reviewing basic operations, safety and best practices. They will also adjust the seat and ensure you are comfortable. The orientation typically takes about 10-15 minutes.
Included With Your Rental
Included with your rental is a:
- 12V Lithium Marine Battery (lasts about 4hrs)
- Life Vest (we suggest you bring your own if possible)
- Whistle
- Water proof cell phone case.
- Battery disconnect lanyard
What Is Needed From You
You will need to:
- Provide a valid state issued photo ID
- Sign our rental agreement and liability waiver.
- All participants need to sign a release waiver. You will be required to sign a waiver for all children under the age of 18, under your supervision.
- Enjoy your time on the water
You must sign all documents in order to rent from us and we reserve the right to refuse to issue a rental at any time.
