Island Lake Electric & Paddle,LLC was created to offer a simple, affordable, and relaxing way for families and neighbors to enjoy Island Lake.
As a lakefront resident, we started this business with a clear goal: keep it small, quiet, safe, and respectful of the lake and the people who live here.
We specialize in electric GoBoat® rentals and stand-up paddleboards, designed for calm cruising, family time, and low-impact fun. Our boats are easy to operate, quiet, and well-suited for the pace of Island Lake.
Meet the Owner
Island Lake Electric & Paddle is owned and operated by Bill Crabtree, a long-time Mason County resident and boating enthusiatist who lives right on Island Lake.
This isn’t a remote business—it’s part of the community.
When you rent from us, you’re working directly with the person who maintains the boats, gives the safety briefing, and cares deeply about the lake.
Island Lake Electric & Paddle is intentionally small. We operate by online reservation, and are conveniently located adjacent to the public access. We focus on fun, stress free and easy outings that work well for families and first-time boaters.
This business was designed as a owner-run operation, not a high-volume rental company. That means:
- Fewer boats on the water
- Personal safety briefings before every rental
- Well-maintained equipment
- Clear expectations for respectful lake use
Safety Comes First
Your safety—and the health of the lake—are always our top priorities.
Every rental includes:
- A brief in-person safety orientation
- U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jackets
- Clear operating rules and lake guidelines
- Age and supervision requirements for minors
We operate with no lifeguard and no on-water supervision, so we take extra care to ensure renters understand their responsibilities before launching.
Respect for the Lake & the Community
Island Lake is a shared resource, and we take that seriously.
We ask all renters to:
- Stay clear of private docks and swimmers
- Pack out all trash
- Treat the lake and wildlife with respect.
