2. Rental Eligibility

  • An adult must sign all waivers for minors and accepts full responsibility for them.
  • Rentals are not transferable to others without approval.

3. Assumption of Risk

Recreational boating and paddling involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, drowning, weather conditions, equipment malfunction, and actions of others.

By booking a rental, you acknowledge and accept these risks and agree to comply with all safety rules, lake regulations, and staff instructions.

No lifeguard or on-water supervision is provided.

4. Weather & Safety Cancellations

We actively monitor Mason County weather conditions. Rentals may be canceled due to unsafe conditions, including strong winds or storms.

If we cancel due to weather:

  • You will be contacted the morning of your rental
  • You may choose a full refund or reschedule

5. Equipment Use & Responsibility

  • Renters are responsible for proper use and care of all equipment.
  • Damage, loss, excessive cleaning, or late returns may result in additional charges.
  • Equipment must be returned in the condition received, normal wear excepted.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users may not:

  • Operate equipment under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Violate lake rules or posted signage
  • Use equipment in unsafe or reckless manner
  • Allow unauthorized users to operate rented equipment

Violation may result in immediate termination of the rental with no refund.

7. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

All payments, cancellation terms, and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which is incorporated by reference.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Island Lake Electric & Paddle is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this website or rental equipment.
